All cannabis plants can be grown outdoors, but there are some challenges when you want to grow
outdoors. In colder climates like northern Europe most cannabis plants might not be ready to harvest
until October/November. Because of the drop in temperature in those months, your cannabis plant
will stop developing. This is mostly the case in Sativa (haze) cannabis plants. Sativa strains need a
longer cultivation period. However, Indica plants can be suitable to grow outdoors because of the
shorter cultivation period. if you grow cannabis outdoors, you are at the mercy of the weather gods.
To ensure that your cannabis plant is protected against rain, wind, and lower temperatures, you can
decide to place your plant in a greenhouse or place your plant under a shelter during the rain. The
only downside is that outside cannabis plants can grow very large. Lengths between 2 and 3 meters
are not abnormal. You then need a tall greenhouse, or you can decide to top your cannabis plant so
that it grows more in width.
There are several reasons why people grow cannabis outside:
– For example, there are much less costs associated with outdoor cultivation.
– Larger plants so more yield
– more space
– free rainwater
